Leeds

Description

The Core is a prime retail block in Leeds city centre, originally constructed in 1989 as an internal shopping centre on the site of a former department store. The property was extensively refurbished and reconfigured in 2009 to provide a well configured principally externally focused retail centre. The remodelled property provides 9 external facing MSU's with entrances onto Lands Lane and Headrow. Tenants include Waitrose, JD Sports, USC, Bank, New Look, Sportsdirect and 99p Stores. In addition to the external units, the refurbishment created several internal mall units on the upper levels. Internal occupiers include the Gym Group, Clinton Cards, and Red 5. The Core provides prominent frontage on Lands Lane and Headrow and provides important link to Commercial Street, Briggate and Trinity Leeds.

In total, the Core provides over 200,000 sq ft of retail space. Nine large well configured units are prominently located fronting the busy retail pitches of Lands Lane and Headrow providing retailers with prominent retail trading frontage in the heart of Leeds shopping district.

One of the city’s principle car parks sits above the Core providing 317 car parking spaces. The car park is accessed from Albion Street and provides direct access for pedestrians into the 4th level of the Core with 24 hour access for customers of the Gym Group.
